Dr. Jeff Cole

Dr. Cole currently serves as Resource Specialist Program Department Chair and teacher at Ball Junior High School in the Anaheim Union High School District (AUHSD). He has worked to facilitate project based learning in co-taught classrooms and implemented professional learning communities within the special education department. He is an advocate for positive growth mindset and instructional reform to improve school effectiveness. Prior to joining AUHSD, Dr. Cole served as a Special Day Class teacher in an elementary district in Los Angeles County. During his long teaching career, Dr. Cole has taught both general and special education at the elementary, middle, and high school level.

Dr. Cole is a proud member of the California School Boards Association Delegate Assembly and California Association for Bilingual Education. He has taught English in Mexico and Russia and is an avid traveler, having been to over 30 countries. He is a life-long learner, who has studied German, Russian, Spanish, and Afrikaans, in order to appreciate the diverse world in which we live. Dr. Cole wrote a master's thesis in Leipzig, Germany about the role of religion in political change. He later completed a doctorate at California State University, Fullerton, on the effectiveness of equitable and inclusive educational programs for students with disabilities.

Dr. Cole earned his Bachelor of Arts from Brigham Young University, Master of Arts from California State University, Fullerton, Master of Science from National University and Ed.D. from California State University, Fullerton. He has additional information on his website jeffcole.info
